Practically every woman yearns to get pregnant and have a baby of their own. A woman’s body is meant for pregnancy, and a woman has to be ready for the inevitable pregnancy changes.

Weight gain is natural after pregnancy usually in the bust, stomach, hips and thighs. While diet and exercise can help with weight reduction, laser liposuction can be used to get rid of fat in stubborn areas.

The changes in breast size leads to sagging breasts which can however be rectified with breast lifts and sometimes, exercise.

As the increased blood volume increases pressure on the veins, pregnant women develop spider and varicose veins along with broken blood vessels. This can be treated wearing support hose in mild cases while laser treatment could be opted for extreme cases.

Some women may experience red and blotchy acne breakouts because of the increased hormonal levels in the body. This can be treated using topical creams.

Don’t worry about the dark line that you find extending from the belly button to the pubic bone as it fades naturally after childbirth.

Some pregnant women suffer from darker pigmentation on the face and as the cells don’t uniformly produce brown pigments, the face gets a blotchy appearance. This can be prevented using sunscreen and treated using topical steroid cream to clear the dark patches. It is however not advised to use laser treatment to clear up the patches as it only makes them darker.

As the skin stretches to accommodate the baby, pregnant women’s skin’s elastic fibers get damaged to develop light to dark reddish or purple stretch marks. These stretch marks may develop anywhere, but are predominant around the hips, thighs, abdomen and thighs.

This can be treated by creams containing vitamin E and alpha hydroxyl acids, a well balanced diet and lots of water. However cosmetic procedures like abdominoplasty, laser therapy and dermabrasion are growing in popularity to reduce the visibility of stretch marks.

With women developing so many changes to their bodies, many women turn to Makeovers for Mums cosmetic packages after pregnancy and delivery. Makeovers for mums is a combination of cosmetic procedures like tummy tuck, breast augmentation and abdominoplasty that help new mothers regain their lost physique.
