The Power of Beautiful Skin Lies Within
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our bodies. However, as we age, that hyaluronic acid dissipates, making us look tired and aged.
There are many options out there that can reduce the look of deep wrinkles and fine lines, such as Botox® and Restylane, but over 2 million people in the U.S. make Juvederm their dermal filler of choice. Our body has tremendous power to heal itself, but over time, we lose those abilities because the body produces too many free radicals that can cause stress and disease, as well as damage to our cells and DNA. When stem cells get worn out they stop regenerating new tissue, causing the skin to lose elasticity and form wrinkles and folds.
What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid and is injected into the treated areas to add volume and increase skin hydration. As the cells in your skin age, you lose the elastin and collagen that once gave your skin the ability to ‘bounce back.’ Juvederm replaces lost hyaluronic acid for up to six months to one year.

Juvederm Procedure
Dr. Schusterman always has the best interest of his patients in mind, and always seeks to deliver the best Juvederm Houston has to offer. Therefore, you will be asked to adhere to certain pre-treatment instructions to optimize your experience, which includes: avoiding certain medications, and refraining from smoking or drinking alcohol. When you begin the procedure, Dr. Schusterman will then inject Juvederm into the affected facial areas using a microneedle. Typically, Juvederm takes between 15 – 60 minutes per treatment, depending on the treated areas.
Juvederm Recovery
Many patients do not have any pain or discomfort and often return to work or daily activities after their appointment. After treatment with Juvederm Houston patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and wearing makeup or drinking alcohol for 24 hours.
Juvederm Results
Results are immediate, and you will see even more after any swelling subsides. Juvederm treatments tend to last for six months and, in some patients, up to two years – depending on the type of filler and area treated.
